Board of Appeals The Township seeks nominations for appointments to the East Coventry Township Board of Appeals.  The Board of Appeals is a body that hears appeals to the Township's Uniform Construction Code (International Building Code), adopted in 2004.  A Board of Appeals is required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, under the new Uniform Construction Code law.  Board of Appeals nominees must be qualified by training and experience in building, design, construction, engineering, etc.  Architects, engineers, those with experience in the construction industry,  and training or experience as an inspector or plan reviewer are encouraged to apply.  Elected municipal officials and code administrators may not apply.  Board of Appeals members may live outside of the municipality.
